Within the Electrical Engineering department at KU Leuven (ESAT), the division WaveCore Arenberg is dedicated to advancing the fields of electromagnetic theory, wave propagation, microwave and millimeter-wave circuits, and wireless networked systems.

The UGent-WAVES research group is part of the Department of Information Technology (INTEC) of Ghent University (UGent). The group focuses on 6G wireless channel modelling and localization, green network planning, and characterization of electromagnetic (EM) radiation with 50 researchers and seven professors

IDLab performs fundamental and applied research on internet technologies and data science. IDLab is a joint research initiative between the University of Antwerp and Ghent University. Within Antwerp, IDLab specifically focuses on wireless networking (in collaboration with Ghent) and distributed intelligence.  IDLab has a unique research infrastructure used in numerous national and international collaborations.
